I've just ordered the first issue from vis/res, a new publication showcasing work from the best in design and illustration talent. Visit the site for info and to order your copy! I'll post some pics when I receive it!
I had a day off yesterday. Timed really well with the downpour. So off I went to Bristol museum, to see End of the line: Attitudes in drawing. You should visit, some amazing pencil drawings on display.
I've been working on this illustration called 'The world map of stereotypes and ignorance'. Thought I'd share it with you, there's a larger version on my website...
I've just finished reading Submarine by Joe Dunthorne. I've heard this book being described as an 'adult Adrian Mole', it certainly gets a bit weird in places, but then the book takes place within the mind of a 15-year old lad. This was one of those books I bought because I liked the cover, something that all of us who are interested in design often do. The illustration was created by Nina Chakrabarti, you should take a look at her website.
Nice information graphics by Toby Ng Kwong To, based on the
statistics that the world were a village of 100 people, Toby has created a
series of posters that depict the information in a quirky and original way.
Nice and simple, always good. I spotted these posters on the Made in England
blog a little while back.
